For better job security and fulfilling working conditions
Workers should not have to bear the cost of financial instability or economic challenges. Job security is essential for workers’ well-being, and we advocate for transparent, fair employment practices that protect workers’ rights and ensure stable working conditions.
For a collective voice for our demands
Raising our demands to the CSE (Social and Economic Committee) is not enough without the balance of power that only a union can provide.
Joining a union means organizing with your colleagues and giving yourself the means to have real weight, through a collective approach and democratic functioning that aim to turn each person’s aspirations and needs into real and lasting progress.
For remote work under dignified conditions
Faced with rising energy and heating costs, we are calling for a remote work allowance in the form of a flat-rate amount to compensate for expenses incurred by employees who work from home.
For fair pay for on-call work and overtime
Our CEO has said it himself: the workers who keep the product running and respond to incidents in the evenings and on weekends are Gladia’s “unsung heroes.” It is high time to recognize them by granting fair compensation for being available on weekends and public holidays. This demand is all the more urgent given the many operational difficulties affecting the product due to a lack of human and material resources.
We are also calling for the day-based working time scheme (forfait jour) to be reviewed for employees who do not have genuine autonomy in organizing their working time and, where appropriate, to be replaced by a 35-hour work week. Every additional hour worked must be paid in accordance with the terms of our collective agreement.
For a work environment that protects employees’ health
As pressure on workers increases due to the company’s financial stakes, we insist that Gladia pay particular attention to the effects this pressure has on employees’ mental and physical health, especially the heightened risk of burnout.
We call on Gladia to take concrete preventive health measures, in particular:
- make it easier to book appointments with the occupational physician (médecin de travail) within the timeframes required by law
- improve coverage of costs and/or set up a dedicated service for sessions with a psychologist
- introduce a training plan for team managers designed to raise awareness of employee mental health issues
For a respected right to disconnect
We require, as provided for by law, that Gladia involve the CSE and social partners in an annual collective negotiation on the conditions under which employees can fully exercise their right to disconnect.
Following this, we will call on Gladia, in agreement with the CSE and the social partners, to introduce:
- internal rules setting out how the right to disconnect is to be fully exercised
- mechanisms for regulating the use of digital tools
For respectful management and workplace protection
We want an environment where all employees can thrive, be motivated, and be proud of their work. To ensure this, we advocate for:
- Clear policies and procedures to prevent and address any situations that may negatively impact employee well-being
- Robust mechanisms for employees to report concerns safely and confidentially
- Prompt and thorough investigation of any reports of workplace issues
- Appropriate measures to address any confirmed problems
- Support and protection for employees who may have been affected by workplace difficulties
We call on Gladia to establish and maintain a workplace culture that prioritizes respect, dignity, and the well-being of all employees.
Because joining a union is a right
The right of every employee to unionize and to be part of a labor union organization is guaranteed by the French constitution. It is a fundamental freedom that it is essential to exercise.
